Summer and Watermelon

I grew watermelon in my garden this year.

One watermelon, for some reason, never got bigger than my fist.

However, it is the perfect doll-sized watermelon!

Here is Danielle with the watermelon. It's a variety called Golden Midget, and the outside turns yellow when it is ripe.

Here is Danielle with the watermelon cut open. Yum yum!

It's fun to get doll photo props for free from my garden!

  1. Gosh, Danielle is pretty! Is she a CYO? And is that watermelon edible at that size? I hate for a good melon to go to waste, LOL!

    1. Yeah, it wasn't really edible, but it also wasn't growing at all, and it was turning yellow, which in this variety is a ripeness indicator. I figured using it for pictures meant that it served its purpose.
