I grew watermelon in my garden this year.
One watermelon, for some reason, never got bigger than my fist.
However, it is the perfect doll-sized watermelon!
Here is Danielle with the watermelon. It's a variety called Golden Midget, and the outside turns yellow when it is ripe.

Gosh, Danielle is pretty! Is she a CYO? And is that watermelon edible at that size? I hate for a good melon to go to waste, LOL!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it wasn't really edible, but it also wasn't growing at all, and it was turning yellow, which in this variety is a ripeness indicator. I figured using it for pictures meant that it served its purpose.
