Renee Graef on Etsy

I have just discovered that Renee Graef, who illustrated the American Girl Kirsten books, has her own etsy shop selling prints.

You can find her etsy shop here.

She has a wide variety of prints to choose from, and she will autograph them for you.

This is a great way to get an autograph of one of the American Girl artists, as well as directly supporting that artist.

I was particularly excited about the Laura Ingalls Wilder illustrations- there are prints of these available in her shop.

These prints would make great gifts!

Fall fun!

After all the snow, we finally had one day at 43 degrees, and I was able to start raking the fall leaves.

There are more leaves on the ground, and more on the trees, and it is supposed to snow some more.

Sigh.

BUT while I was raking the leaves, Danielle was able to jump in some leaf piles!

It's a sad fact of growing up that I really don't feel like jumping in the leaves.

Good thing that I have Danielle to do it for me!

Hearts for Hearts doll Nyesha

I got Hearts for Hearts doll Nyesha!

As far as I can tell, she has the same meet outfit from her original release, only minus the tie.

I am totally fine with that. I did not dig the tie.

The rest of her outfit is so colorful and pretty!

Her hair was bunched up when she arrived, but I was able to separate it into ringlets and finger cur it.

It's so pretty as it is now, but it will need care to maintain it.

She is the last Hearts for Hearts doll that I really want for now, at least until they release any new dolls. The $41 price tag is a bit hefty for these dolls.

I am very happy to have Nyesha, and I recommend her to other collectors.

The hair might make her less of a practical toy for kids to play with.

Clothes for Katie

My oldest and most beloved baby doll is Katie. She is a Berjusa doll that was made in Spain, and she is very realistic.

I was looking at Halloween clearance a few days ago, and I saw this onsie on clearance.

I then remembered that Katie fits real life baby clothes.

I had to guess at the size, but when you have been carrying a doll around for thirty years, you know how big she is in your arms. I was holding the different sizes up against me.
The 0 to 3 month size fit her well.

I used to get a 25 cent allowance as a little girl. I would then go to garage sales with my mom and buy used baby clothes for a quarter each.

It's literally been two decades since Katie has gotten any new clothes.

It makes me so happy to see Katie in this cute onsie, even if Halloween is over.

It gets cold in the winter where I live, so it will keep her warm.

The pumpkin face even glows in the dark.

The best part? It was a $5 onsie at 90% off. It rang up at 25 cents.

Snow, snow, snow

Here are some more pictures of the dolls enjoying the snow!

Nanea is really surprised by the snow, but glad that she has this snowsuit to keep her warm.

Melody lives in Detroit, so she is used to the possibility of having snow in late October.
Bo thinks it's a lot of fun!

Felicity is beautiful as always.

Poor Kit is in the snow up to her knees! Yikes!
