Baraboo is the home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. There is lots of circus history here!
Circus World is a museum about circus history, and there is a LOT to see and do.
Anne really wished that her friends Callie and Penny could join her. Maybe next time!
Circus World had live circus performances throughout the day. We saw a circus performance, an outdoor performance on the Daredevil Wheel, and a tiger performance. There were other events, live a comedy act and a tour of the circus wagons.
It was fun to see the real elephants and tigers, and they performed, too!
You could see real circus wagons, costumes and posters.
In this picture, Anne is standing outside a circus wagon that once held circus seals. It doesn't look very comfortable, even with a tank for swimming in.
This circus wagon is much fancier.
It is fun to see real circus costumes up close!
Old circus poster are really cool.
Circus World is built on the site where Ringling Brothers wintered, and it includes eight of the original buildings used by the circus!
The Baraboo River flows through the middle of Circus World, and it was fun to see kayakers go by.
There was so much to see and do there. Circus World is a very friendly place to take your doll sightseeing.
In addition to Circus World, there is also the Clown Hall of Fame in Baraboo. This used to be located in Delavan. We wish it was still in Delavan! Sadly, it was closed when we arrived.
This theater was built by Al Ringling. It was also closed. We hope to go inside one day. There are really pretty murals inside.
This mansion was built by Al Ringling. It is really huge and fancy.
The Clown Hall of Fame, the Al Ringling Theater, and the Al Ringling Mansion are all within walking distance of each other. Downtown Baraboo is small, which is nice for visitors!
Baraboo is a great place to visit! It's lots of fun!
This looks like so much fun! We definitely want to see this when we come to visit you!
