Ginny dolls were first made in 1948 by the Vogue doll company.
I have a childhood Ginny doll that I bought in 1993.
Around 2002-2008, the Vogue Company made some reproductions of the vintage Ginny dolls, including the vintage face molds.
I thought they were just too adorable, but I couldn't afford them at the time.
Now I have a couple!
I read that the Ginny doll molds were confiscated by the Chinese government, and that there won't be any more made. That's sad.
This Ginny doll was a birthday gift from my wonderful girlfriend.
I am so grateful for my girlfriend this Thanksgiving!
