I hope that everyone had a great holiday!

Here are some pictures of a few of my dolls enjoying the snow!

Merry Christmas from Kit

Here are some Kit Christmas pictures!

This year for Christmas, Kit got her dog, Grace. This is thanks to the Black Friday sale.
The little freckles on Grace's muzzle are too cute.

Kit does have her Christmas dress on under her coat.

Anne Love

There is a rumor that AG is coming out with historical twins from the 90s.

What I have seen of that collection has just made me love Anne more.

Anne is my Girl of Today from 1995. She is Girl of Today # 6.

Have you seen the original Girl of Today clothes? They are so awesome. They are all different colors and they are made of the same fabrics as real clothes.

Anne had some fun in the snow lately. She gets to do all the things.

Happy Halloween!

We are having an unusual Halloween today. We got a lot of snow!

Naturally, the dolls had to check it out.

Anne looks a little disappointed that it snowed.

Or maybe she is just distracted by that snowflake landing on her nose!

Saige didn't have a coat, but she put on a jacket and headed outside.

This is Danielle, and she has only been here for two days! I will be posting more about her later!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

Nanea in the Snow

I know it is MAY, but these pictures are not actually that old.

We had a late snow and I rushed out to get pictures of Nanea in her new snow suit.

I bet she is visiting her father's family on the mainland when she sees this snow!

She looks so cute!

It was super hard to get her hair into that hoodie, though!

Melody in the Snow

And here is Melody in the snow, playing with Bo!

Bo loves to be outside and to play with his human.

Looks like fun!

Lottie doll Mia in the Snow

Wildlife photographer Mia, who is made by the Lottie doll company, is such a fun doll to photograph.

If I am outside taking pictures, so is she!

I wonder what she is taking a picture of?

Maybe it is a hungry rabbit in the snow, or even a pretty bird, like a cardinal!

Kaya in the Snow

After buying Kaya's winter accessories this year, I was very happy to get some pictures of her outside in the snow.

I am sure Steps High was glad to get some exercise to stay warm.

It's actually really nice to have horses for the dolls to ride when taking pictures outside in the snow.
I didn't have to worry about them falling head first into the snow!

Felicity in the Snow

Felicity was happy to ride Penny in the snow.

Her green riding habit looks so good with her red cloak!

I couldn't decide whether to take pictures of her wearing her tricorn or with her hood up, so I took pictures of both.

She looked so pretty in the snow, it was hard to bring her back inside!

Taking Doll Pictures in the Snow

I live in a state where we get a lot of snow in the winter.

Even when you have snow, it takes, in my opinion, very precise conditions to take pictures of dolls in the snow.

The snow can't be too deep, or the doll will be standing in knee-deep or waist-deep snow.

YET the snow has to be deep enough to entirely cover the grass.

It can't be too long after the snow has fallen, or there will be leaves, twigs and other debris over the snow.

Today, I had great conditions for taking doll photos!

We had a layer of ice on the ground that was thoroughly covering the grass.

Then we got about an inch of fresh snow over the ice, so it looked fresh and white out there, and the dolls did not sink down into the snow.

However, it was pretty treacherous outside, so I did not go far. I didn't want to fall and hurt myself and drop a doll or two in the snow!
So I only took pictures in my back yard.

I actually had to hurry to get these pictures today, because we are getting more snow tomorrow and more doll pictures may not be possible after that.

I got a lot of pictures, which I will share soon!

Here are the dolls AFTER I finished taking pictures. My formerly clean table was a mess!

Another problem with taking pictures in the snow is how dark it is outside this time of year.
Sometimes I take pictures on the night setting, even during the day, so that the exposure is better.

I hope everyone is managing to stay safe in this ferocious weather!

Snow Day!

We had a snow day, and a few of the girls got their pictures taken outdoors.

Felicity

Kit
Melody
Anne
I had felt bad that that I hadn't gotten any snow pictures yet this year, so now I have quieted my conscience.

I should make doll coats more of a priority in my collecting, seeing that I do live where it snows very regularly in winter. I plan to make Laura Ingalls a coat soon from the Thimbles and Acorns pattern.

Snow!

We had some snow, and I hurried to take pictures of the dolls that have winter coats out of doors!

Anne actually owns a whole snow suit, but she didn't need it today.

Winter is here

Jess is my most photogenic doll. I had to get some pictures of her all dressed up for the colder weather!

Mini Kirsten and the Lightning Tour of the Mid-West!

Mini Kirsten just did a three day tour of the Midwest. She got to visit three states!

First she visited St. Louis, Missouri, where Girl of the Year Lea Clark is from. She went to an area of St. Louis called the Hill, where there are lots of Italian restaurants.

Molly Thrift Store Find

I found Pleasant Company's trunk for Molly! It was $20 and I found it in a pile of stuff in the garage (!) of my local thrift store. It...
