More Sundresses! Ahoy!

I loved the red, white and blue dress on the cover photo of the Sofie Clareese Perfectly Pleasant Sundress.

It was nautical and perky and cute.

I decided to make one just like the cover photo, and one in reverse, with red as the main color.

So, here they are:

This is Hearts for Hearts Tipi.

This is Hearts for Hearts Mosi.

My versions, to me, somehow look less nautical and more like cheerleading costumes.

Maybe that's just me?

But you could actually make a cheerleading costume from this pattern, I think. Just shorten the skirt.

There is this very colorful flower print that I have been drooling over for a while.
Finally, since I had a project, I bought half a yard and made this:

This is Hearts for Hearts Rahel.

This is my favorite of the sundresses so far. It's so colorful and summery.

This pattern is really versatile! You should try it out!

Hearts for Hearts dolls in the Snow

A selection of my Hearts for Hearts dolls got to go out in the snow!

They were nice and warm in their hoodies made from a pattern by Requiem Art Designs.

Nahji looks cute in her elephant hoodie.

Tipi looks cute in a panda hoodie!

Mosi looks cute in a fox hoodie!

Faux Button Jumper 3

Here is another jumper made from the Forever 18 inches pattern.

This one is blue, and it's the first one that has a pattern on the fabric.

The print is maybe on the large side of the scale, but I think it works.

Also, this jumper and the red one together will be cute for the Fourth of July.

 I really like Tipi's meet outfit, especially the shirt, but this one is cute too.

She is happy to have a change of clothes.

Blue is my favorite color, so it's not surprising that I use it in doll clothes a lot.

This jumper is actually lined in pink. I think it adds a cute touch, although obviously you can't see it when she is wearing it.

I didn't get costumes made for all the dolls for Halloween. Nor did I expect to.

But I am proud that SOME of them have costumes made in time!

Hoodies Galore!

Here is a group picture of my Hearts for Hearts dolls wearing the hoodies I have made so far from the Requiem Art Designs hoodie pattern.

Pattern Review: Requiem Art Designs 14 Inch Hoodie

Requiem Art Designs released another pattern for 14 inch dolls. This one is a hoodie.

I made a Piglet hoodie!

I have always been a Winnie the Pooh fan.

It was so easy to make this pattern into Piglet.

And it is SO cute.

 What's not to love?

Here is Piglet, for comparison purposes.

This pattern was very easy to make. It has raglan sleeves, which are very easy to make and also worked perfectly for differentiating between Piglet's arms and the onsie/bathing suit that he wears.

The hoodie has a slit in the back to let the doll's hair out, which works so well.

I had to take a full body picture to show that Tipi is wearing pink shoes to match her hoodie.

Consuelo and Tipi are happy to show off their new clothes!

I really like this pattern. It was easy, and I have so many ideas for different combos to make.

It's a great piece of clothing for colder weather, and it doubles as a Halloween costume!

What more can you ask for?

The Return of Tipi and Laurice!

I just noticed that you can now buy Hearts for Hearts dolls Tipi and Laurice on Amazon!

New dolls, that is, not the price-gouged ones from the original release.


I am so happy that Tipi and Laurice are available for purchase again!

Last I checked, the Hearts for Hearts dolls were available at Target stores but not online, and now Rahel at least is online.

Hearts for Hearts Tipi and Lauryce Re-Release

Hearts for Hearts are re-releasing Tipi and Lauryce! Yay!

You can find pre-orders on them on Amazon here and here.

I am glad to see this. But I already have Tipi, and I don't want Lauryce.

When are they going to release Aya?

That's the release I am waiting for!

Update:

The Hearts for Hearts Company says that Aya is tentatively scheduled for 2018.

On the Beach

We had some unseasonably ice weather, so Tipi and Nahji went to the beach!

Enjoy it while it lasts, girls!

It's so much easier to carry the Hearts for Hearts dolls around for a photoshoot! I worry less about them and they are that much smaller.

And no, I haven't been travelling- both the snow and the beach pictures were taken in the same geographical area, literally a week apart. The weather has lost its mind!

A Lucky and Unlucky Day

I have a friend visiting for a week from across the country. We have been so excited and looking forward to this forever. 

We went to Chicago for two days and had an awesome time.

However, since we got back, she has been SO sick and has to spend her time in bed sleeping.

She urged me to go canoeing without her today. I was walking to the library to get the Freebie Friday pattern, when I saw a garage sale- with Steps High in the front yard.

I RAN back home, grabbed all the cash I had, and ran back.
