Emerson at the Beach

Here are a few pictures of Wellie Wisher Emerson at the beach!

I made the dress from a Sofie Clareese pattern. It's so cute and nautical!

Emerson looking very serious at how big the water is!

Playing in the sand!
Smile for the camera!

Emerson is tired after a busy day, but she loves watching the waves!

Nanea at the Beach

I was able to take Nanea to the beach to get some pictures.

Here she is, enjoying the beautiful view.

Looking for a relaxing spot!

Here she is enjoying the sun. I love her shadow!

Ready to swim! The wave came right up to her feet for this picture.

It was a great day at the beach, and I like the pictures I took!

Joss at the Beach

Joss and I were able to go to the beach on a Monday in order to stay socially distanced from other people.

Here are some of my favorite pictures!

Joss in her favorite place, the beach!

Ready to go swimming!

Sitting pretty!

Joss went hiking in the sand dunes after going swimming. That's why her hearing aid is out.

The water was a much prettier color from up above among the sand dunes!

Nanea at the Beach Again

I am trying very hard to bond with Nanea, now that she has her new eyes.

That means dressing her up and taking pictures- and where else would I take them, but at the beach?

I had a great-uncle at Pearl Harbor, so Nanea's story is special to me.

I am very happy with how these pictures turned out.

Nanea's face mold is still different enough from other American Girl dolls, or something, that I don't feel bonded with her yet.

I think my next step in bonding-with-Nanea will be to sew her something.
I might have to take a picture of it inside, though, because pretty soon it will be too cold for the beach!
Ready to swim!

In the mean time, she is living the good life at the beach!

Kit's Beach Photography

You know that if you took Kit to the beach, she would be snapping pictures and look for a news story.

I know my Kit did!

Nanea on the beach

Here are some proper pictures of Nanea with her new eyes!

I took her to the beach today, and got some fabulous pictures.

Nanea was such a great model.

I swear, I  didn't even need to think up poses for her, she just seemed to pose herself naturally.

I am so happy with the pictures that I took today, and feeling very happy with Nanea and her new eyes.

Bo is making sure that Melody has lots of fun outside this summer!

Beth's Summer Camp

Greenchiligirl described my pictures of the new MCM dolls as "Beth's summer camp."

I like it!

So this morning, summer camp went to the beach.

Cedar ans Amelle
I am still getting used to my fancy camera. It has a setting to use when there is back lighting that really improved my pictures today.

You guys, I am so glad I bought these My Life As Adirondack chairs. They are awesome.
It makes it so much easier to make an outdoor scene with dolls.
Especially if they don't want to stand up!

I think the girls enjoyed their morning at the beach!

Kanani's Swimsuit

I remember when American Girl came out with their first swimsuit for modern girls. I am not sure off the top of my head if it was before or after Samantha's swimsuit, which was the first swimsuit for historical dolls, but it was around the same time.

I was really excited, because mt best friend, who also loved AG at the time, was on a swim team. I thought she would be thrilled.

Sad vacation photos

I just had a wonderful vacation and I had the best time possible.

Why the blog post title?

I brought Jess all across the country because I wanted to get some pictures of her on the beach, despite the disapproval of my travel partner.

Well, my camera picked up on that attitude. Every time I tried to get her down to the beach, something went wrong with the camera. Either it ran out of memory or it claimed that it had no power left, even though later it continued to take non-doll pictures just fine.

So I only got two dolly pictures, out of the hundreds of pictures I took!

On the stairs- this photo was my bestie's idea.

I wanted to take a picture with her on top of this stone pillar, but it was too tall for me to reach!
I am holding her up to the top of the pillar in this picture.

Here is the beach front sans doll.

Sigh.

Well, I get points for effort, right?

Molly Thrift Store Find

I found Pleasant Company's trunk for Molly! It was $20 and I found it in a pile of stuff in the garage (!) of my local thrift store. It...
