Pattern Review: Keepers Dolly Duds Town and Country Pattern

I made a cute little version of Keepers Dolly Duds Town and Country pattern.

I was really pleased with this. It was the end of a very long day, and I still managed to sit down and make this dress from beginning to end.

I made the version with a ruffle and it is an adorable spring dress.

I am just sad that you can barely see the ruffle in the picture. You'll have to take my word for it.

The ruffle did end up on the opposite side of the dress as in the pattern picture, but who cares?
Not Melody!

Pattern Review: Keepers Dolly Duds Prairie Ruffles

All of a sudden, I am on a roll with sewing doll clothes.

Here is Laura Ingalls wearing Keepers Dolly Duds Prairie Ruffles pattern.

This pattern was intended for Kirsten, so it may not be totally accurate for Laura.
Kirsten lived 30 years before Laura.

And I don't know if Laura would have had any short sleeved dresses. Long sleeves in summer would protect her arms from sunburn and from scratched working in the garden.

I decided that I didn't really care, Laura should have this dress anyway.

I actually dreamed about making this pattern, so I decided I had to make it for real.

It's a lovely spring dress, just so pretty. I like the colors I used.

I used real buttons on the back of the apron. The dress just has velcro.

This pattern was much easier to make than I expected. Maybe I am just getting better at sewing?
But it was easy and fast and it makes my heart happy.

Pattern Review: Jinjia Mixed Goods Gothic Lolita Blouse

Jinjia Mixed Goods has released her first doll clothes pattern for sale (she has done many free patterns) and it is fabulous!

This pattern is the Gothic Lolita Style Blouse and it is for sale in her Etsy shop.

This pattern has so many choices. You can basically make any blouse you ever dreamed up.

There are 256 different combinations from different sleeves, collars, and other options.

I made a blouse with short puffed sleeves and a Peter Pan collar and peplum.
I want to make many more of the other options!

This is really a classic blouse. It reminds me of one that I had that I loved.

Here is a look at the inset lace I did on the sleeve. So pretty and ladylike!

I love this pattern. what more can I say?

If you want to read more about the pattern, you can read the pattern designer's blog post about it here.

You should go buy this pattern immediately. There is a coupon code for her etsy shop.

It is  JMG10TH and it is valid until May 10 for 10% off $5 or more in purchases.

This is a pattern that you will use over and over. Definitely worth the price.

Christmas Dress for Nanea

I decided that Nanea needed a Christmas dress. I am surprised that AG hasn't made one for her. I wanted to make a green one to go with ...
